Yoga Nidra Teacher Training in Greece

Transformative Yoga Nidra Teacher Training on the Greek island of longevity & well-being

Ikaria is one of the five Blue Zones worldwide. These are defined as places where lifestyle and environment contribute significantly to the longevity of its inhabitants. This is why Ikaria has been internationally renowned not just as a paradisiacal vacation destination, but as a sanctuary for rejuvenation and holistic wellness. And right there, on this picturesque island nestled in the northeastern Aegean, we will dive into the deeper connection between mind, body and soul – in our Transformative Yoga Nidra Teacher Training.

Yoga Nidra teacher training is about learning the art of self-relaxation and balancing the body and mind. It is an ancient Tantric technique, also called yogic sleep, which was initially introduced by Swami Satyananda Saraswati. In joining our Transformative Yoga Nidra Teacher Training, you will improve your life in many ways. As a yoga teacher, you can incorporate this practice during Savasana to guide your students into deeper relaxation. If you have a yoga studio, you can even incorporate entire Yoga Nidra classes for people who want to release tension and feel well at the end of the day.

Yoga Nidra, as a meditative technique, is gaining popularity due to its demonstrably positive benefits, such as positive transformation, healing traumas, emotional balance, improved sleep, and mental relaxation. Many scientific studies have been conducted to validate and understand the Yoga Nidra technique. These positive effects have also encouraged hospitals, psychologists, and therapists to integrate Yoga Nidra into their services.

There are several ways to get to Cavos Bay on Ikaria and it is worth checking the different routes to find the best option for you. Ikaria has an airport, so you can search for direct flights from the departure airport of your choice. However, it is often cheaper to book flights to Athens or Thessaloniki and from there a separate flight from Athens/Thessaloniki to Ikaria. Another option is to fly to Mykonos, a nearby island, and take the ferry from there. Prices and an overview of ferry tickets can be found at https://www.ferryhopper.com/.

With this option, a transfer from Mykonos airport to the port must also be organized. This can be done either directly on site with cabs or buses, or in advance with providers such as transferinmykonos.gr or transfeero.com. Please note, that there are not always daily departures.

Sea lovers can also book a flight to Athens and from there continue their journey by ferry. This takes about 7 hours and offers a wonderful preparation for the upcoming transformative journey and atmosphere with the scenery of the sea and the Greek islands. Prices and schedules for the ferry can be found at https://www.ferryhopper.com/ . Please note, that there are not always daily departures.

Cavos Bay is situated in Armenistis, a beautiful bay overlooking the archipelago in the North-West part of the island. The main port Evdilos is 14 km away, Ikaria National Airport “Ikaros” is 45km away.

The local language is Greek. However, as it is an island with international tourism, you can get by perfectly well with English.

The rooms are spacious and bathed in natural light, offering cozy furniture, modern bathrooms, and large balconies or terraces with beautiful sea or garden view. There are two pools that invite for moments relaxation or a quick cool-down, and a bar that invites to refreshing beverages while admiring magical late-summer sunsets.
