200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training - India

We, at Diya yoga - Goa design our course keeping in mind the broader view of yoga,including philosophy, meditation, anatomy, kriya, and the art of teaching. Our main focus is to imbibe yoga in your daily life.So, you can keep practicing and eventually design a course for your students in the future. For 25 days, you will immerse yourself in the Practice of Hatha yoga, Vinyasa,Basic Ashtanga, Yin, and restorative yoga techniques. We will also dive into yoga philosophy, meditation, anatomy, alignment, and the art of teaching. But, despite all these teachings being incorporated into one, this course is open to any beginner, or intermediate who wishes to develop a deeper understanding of Yoga in life and self-healing.

During the 200-hour yoga teacher training in Goa, our instructors emphasize the practice of Asana and help you to improve your posture and alignment so you can reap maximum benefits. You will learn pranayama which helps supply ample oxygen to each body part by relaxing the muscles of the respiratory system. As the course progresses, you will learn more and will be encouraged to practice the responsibilities of an instructor so that you can get first-hand experience of teaching students in a known atmosphere.

We don’t force any dogmatic ideas or beliefs on our students. With this yoga teacher certification, you can be registered for the yoga alliance, which will give you the opportunity to work all around the world. We also support the students who studied our hatha yoga teacher training to assist in courses if they like to practice more.

Curriculum Highlights

We welcome also beginners who knows nothing about yoga

We are teaching details of Suryanamaskar (sun salutation) with alignment adjustment and breath awareness. Every move in Suryanamaskar is coordinated with the breath. If you do it right, it is in itself enough to keep you fit and aware throughout the day. We work on that basic Hatha and Ashtanga sun salutation in the training with details of breath and focus. As Suryanamaskar is a Must if you are practicing yoga asana, it is helping the body to warm up and go deeper into other poses.

During the Yoga Teacher Training, our main focus is on yoga asanas. We aim to practice with patience and awareness of alignment early in the morning. To bring balance to the physical body, by looking at personal anatomy, and observing individual practice, we give supportive input to improve the postures and alignments. Bringing mindfulness to the posture and using the power of gravity, makes it more beneficial for healthy living. We are teaching Hatha the traditional yoga style, Hatha Vinyasa flow which is a more movement-based asana practice,while still keeping the traditional touch. Vinaysa is the style that is more popular in the western world, it is synchronized movement and postures with the breath.Vinyasa is teaching us to smoothly flow on the mat and also integrate it into life.

Breathing is Life. Due to stress and tension, many of us create dysfunctional breathing patterns. Working on different Pranayama practices, relaxes the muscle of the respiratory system, supplying oxygen to all the body parts and mind, creating the right way of breathing for physical and mental health. It is also important to have correct breathing patterns during Asana practice too. During this course, you learn different Pranayama practices.

We are a non-dogmatic yoga school, Our Philosophy classes are not rigid and orthodox, it is more like a discussion and how to bring the old ways into a new form to use in this modern world, starting from yoga history, we teach eight limbs of yoga sutra by Patanjali, explaining three Gunas and wisdom of Bhagavad Gita, with freedom of sharing individual point of view towards yoga. It’s basically implementing yoga not only on the mat but in our daily life for balanced and healthy living.

During this 200-hour Yoga TTC course we have classes on different meditations.Meditation not only helps us improve our breathing patterns but also helps us be patient and calm in our lives. We give training on active, passive, and analytic meditation, encouraging everyone to try every kind of meditation and then decide what is right for them to use in their daily life.

This is a very important subject, where you are explained about each asana, details are given about any kind of adjustments, when to have verbal, or physical adjustment, and where to focus during the class, how to deal with a student who has physical pain, and what kind of pain has to be completely avoided. These important aspects are thoroughly taught in this subject.

It is Important to know the basic anatomy when one is working with people. So we teach general basic anatomy about skeleton, muscular system, nervous system, and how they are involved in yoga practice. For pranayama, the respiratory system and how it works in yoga practice. Also the basics of Ayurveda and the connection with yoga, and how it can be healing for body, mind, and soul.

In the yogic anatomy training, you will be taught how to understand your body and how to attain control over your body parts. This Yoga teacher training helps you understand the energy of your body, and a detailed explanation of chakra, Nadis,and Koshas, with practical examples and experience, is shown. There are kinds of meditation where you can work on your yogic anatomy.

In our teacher training methodology, we encourage you to observe the responsibilities of a yoga teacher. We explain ethics, and values and encourage you to see your potential. During this class, we learned with playful exercises, how to take care of students when you lead a class in the future. We guide you about the steps to set up a yoga business and what mistakes should be avoided while setting it up.

As we are a Multi-style Yoga Teacher Training school, we start with the Hatha yoga as basic yoga training and during the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, we go deeper into Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Freestyle yoga, basic of Ashtanga and restorative yoga.

We also provided basic one class for corporate yoga, children yoga, pregnancy yoga so one can get information and find out if he/she is interested in other direction or not.

We teach Yoga aasanas, Yoga Philosophy(Chakra anatomy with exercises. Patanjali yoga sutra, Kosha, Nadis) Physical Anatomy, various kind of Meditation, Art of Teaching and Methodology. Each class is for about an hour or one and a half hour long.

You do not need any special qualification to join this course. You have an urge from within to do the course is enough to join the course. It can be for self-practice or for future business, but your call to learn yoga is what matters. You can be complete beginner or and intermediate practicener

After completing the course, you will get Yoga alliance 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate which makes you eligible to work anywhere in the world as a yoga trainer.

For Yoga teacher training Certification, student need to attend all the classes, we are teaching philosophy from the Patanjali yoga sutra. If you are beginner please go for at least 10 Hatha yoga classes in your country so you have basic knowledge of the language and movements. It is 25 days intensive course, which need your total commitment.it is be challenging for your body and mind. Be prepared for it.

  • The check-in time is one day before the course after 12 noon and one day after the course is completed, before 12 noon.
  • Breakfast will not be served on the day the course starts.
  • All sessions organized throughout the course are mandatory.
  • Diya Yoga may change the time table or the instructors without prior notice.
  • Diya Yoga might take photos or videos from time to time. If you wish to be excluded from the picture, please let us know upon arrival. Else, it will be considered an approval.
  • The course fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred but can be used within one year by the same student in the month of their choosing.

Diya Yoga offers three modes of payment – Bank transfer, Transferwise, and Paypal. While booking, the applicant needs to pay a booking fee to reserve a place in the course and pay the balance one week before arrival (if paying by bank transfer). The balance can also be paid in cash upon arrival and the applicant will need to submit a copy of their passport while paying cash.

After completing a course, you will receive a certificate that is in accordance to Yoga Alliance USA, a global organisation recognised by practitioners in several countries. This certificate allows you to create a yoga course and teach students about yogic philosophy, yogic anatomy, asanas, and meditation techniques.
