We at Diya Yoga teach multiple styles of Yoga asanas, Like Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative, We also have basic classes of Children Yoga, Senior Yoga, Pregnancy yoga, as well we do teach meditation. As we human are individual and have different personality, keeping that in mind we teach many different kind of meditation, and one can choose which is fitting to their personality can dive deeper easily in meditation.Now a days everyone is thinking yoga is doing asanas, but yoga is much more than that, Asanas are just a stepping stone of the whole yoga journey.

Many get injured t the stepping stone, that’s why in this training we emphasis on the Alignment, learning the right posture, knowing your body and its limits, with awareness how to go deeper in to the poses without hurting others or self. Knowing your boundaries, helps to know what is good for your students also. Alignment also has the adjustment involved in it. As one needs to know being a teacher, how to correct the students in right postures, with help of verbal or physical adjustment. We teach that in details and let the students to practice it in the class till they understand it.

Our art of teaching classes are really to support the teacher inside you, to empower yourself confidence and trust in self. Learning practically these different techniques in an authentic setting will allow you to self practice and teach yoga asana with its ethics anywhere in the world.

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course

This is our dedicated course for training students to familiarize themselves with different types of yoga disciplines, meditation techniques, and philosophies so that they can keep practicing and eventually design a course for their students in the future. For one entire month, you will immerse yourself in Asana Practice of Hatha, Yin, Basic ashtanga, Vinyasa, and restorative yoga techniques. We will also dive in yoga philosophy, meditation, anatomy, alignment and the art of teaching. But, despite all these teachings being incorporated in one, this course is open for any person beginner or intermediate who wishes to develop a deeper understanding of Yoga in life and self-healing.

During the yoga teacher training, our instructors give emphasis on the practice of basic Asana and help students improve their posture and alignment so they can reap maximum benefits. Calming the mind and body is necessary and a person’s breathing patterns are responsible for a healthy mind and body. You will learn pranayama that helps supply ample oxygen to each body part by relaxing the muscles of the respiratory system. As the course progresses, you will be encouraged to take up the responsibilities of an instructor so that you can get first-hand experience of teaching students. The course fees inclusive of three vegetarian meals from Monday to Friday and breakfast on Saturday are 1299 euros and 1600 euros for shared and private accommodation respectively.

Course Curriculum


We are teaching first week in details suryanamskar (sunsalutations) with alignment adjustment and breath awareness.Every move in suryanamaskar is coordinate with breath. If you do it right, it is in it self enough to keep you fit and aware through day. We work on that basic Hatha and ashtanga sunsalutation in the training with details of breath and focus. As Suryanamaskar is a Must if you are practicing Yoga asana, it is helping body to warm up and go deeper in other poses.


During the Yoga Teacher Training, our main focus is on yoga aasanas. We aim to practice with patience and awareness of alignment early in the morning,to bring balance in the physical body, looking at personal anatomy, observing individual practice, we give supportive input to improve the postures and alignments. Bringing mindfulness to the posture and using the power of gravity, making it more beneficial for healthy living. We are teaching Hatha the traditional yoga style, also Hatha flow where it has made more movement base with still keeping the traditional touch. Vinaysa is the style which is more popular in the western world, it is synchronized movement and postures with breath. Vinyasa is teaching us to smoothly flow on the mat and also integrate it in life.

Yin classes

We are also bring Yin classes in the evenings. Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga asana, integrated with traditional Chinese medicine, science. It is a meditative approach to yoga Asana, its goal is awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality. In this style the asanas are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. A pose can be hold from 45 seconds up to more than 5 minutes. The sequences of postures are meant to stimulate the channels of the subtle body known as Nadis in Hatha yoga and meridians in Chinese medicine. Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the tendons, fasciae, ligaments and medians, with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Pranayama and Meditation

Breathing is Life. Due to stress and tension, many of us create dysfunctional breathing patterns. Working on different Pranayama practices, relaxes the muscle of respiratory system, supplying oxygen to all the body parts and mind, creating a right way of breathing for physical and mental health. It is also important to have correct breathing pattern during Asana practice too. During this course you learn Yogic breathing, Kapalbhati, Anuloma viloma breathing, Bhramari Breathing. We are a non-dogmatic yoga school, Our Philosophy classes are not rigid and orthodox, it is more like a discussion and how to bring the old ways in new form to use in this modern world, starting from yoga history, we teach eight limbs of yoga sutra by Patanjali, explaining three gunas and wisdom of Bhagvad Gita, with freedom of sharing individual point of view towards yoga. Art Of Teaching

In our teacher training methodology, we encourage students to observe the responsibilities of a yoga teacher. We explain ethics, values and encourage them to see their potential. Every one involves during the class with playful exercises, and learns how to take care of students in future in class when they will be leading. We guide them about the steps to set up a yoga business and what mistakes should be avoided while setting it up.We also work on the yogic anatomy of Nadis and chakras, learning how to connect to it not only physically but mentally and enegeticaly level also. Learning to question oneself to know where are we imbalance and where we need more attention to bring right balance in life. During the practicum, students learn to teach each other in small groups of Asana class, under the observation of the teacher, so their fear of teaching disappears during the yoga teacher training. As practice makes a person perfect, their practice starts in the school itself from very first week. This boosts their confidence and makes them ready to give training/classes by the end of yoga TTC.We also work on the yogic anatomy of Nadis and chakras, learning how to connect to it not only physically but mentally and enegeticaly level also. This is a very important subject, where you are explained about each Asana in details, how to breath, how to go in and out of Asana. Also explaining and having practical about many kinds of adjustments, How and when to have verbal, or physical adjustment, and where to focus during the class, how to deal with a student who has physical pain, and what kind of pain has to be completely avoided. These important aspects are thoroughly taught in this subject.


It is Important to know the basic anatomy when one is working with people. So we teach general basic anatomy about skeleton, muscular system, nervous system and how they are involved in yoga practice. For pranayama, respiratory system and how it works in yoga practice. Also basic of Ayurveda and the connection with yoga, and how it can be healing for body, mind and soul.

What are the types of yoga you teach?

As we are a Multi-style Yoga Teacher Training school, we start with the Hatha yoga as basic yoga training and during the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, we go deeper into Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Freestyle yoga, basic of Ashtanga and restorative yoga.

We also provided basic one class for corporate yoga, children yoga, pregnancy yoga so one can get information and find out if he/she is interested in other direction or not

What are the various subjects taught?

We teach Yoga aasanas, Yoga Philosophy(Chakra anatomy with exercises. Patanjali yoga sutra, Kosha, Nadis) Physical Anatomy, various kind of Meditation, Art of Teaching and Methodology. Each class is for about an hour or one and a half hour long.

What are the qualification criteria to join the course?

You do not need any special qualification to join this course. You have an urge from within to do the course is enough to join the course. It can be for self-practice or for future business, but your call to learn yoga is what matters. You can be complete beginner or and intermediate practicener

Which certificate will I get after finishing the course?

After completing the course, you will get Yoga alliance 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate which makes you eligible to work anywhere in the world as a yoga trainer.

What are the 200 Hour - Yoga Teacher Training Certification requirements?

For Yoga teacher training Certification, student need to attend all the classes, we are teaching philosophy from the Patanjali yoga sutra. If you are beginner please go for at least 10 Hatha yoga classes in your country so you have basic knowledge of the language and movements. It is 25 days intensive course, which need your total commitment.it is be challenging for your body and mind. Be prepared for it.

What are the Rules?

  • The check-in time is one day before the course after 12 noon and one day after the course is completed, before 12 noon.
  • Breakfast will not be served on the day the course starts.
  • All sessions organized throughout the course are mandatory.
  • Diya Yoga may change the time table or the instructors without prior notice.
  • Diya Yoga might take photos or videos from time to time. If you wish to be excluded from the picture, please let us know upon arrival. Else, it will be considered an approval.
  • The course fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred but can be used within one year by the same student in the month of their choosing.

What is the payment method?

Diya Yoga offers three modes of payment – Bank transfer, Transferwise, and Paypal. While booking, the applicant needs to pay a booking fee to reserve a place in the course and pay the balance one week before arrival (if paying by bank transfer). The balance can also be paid in cash upon arrival and the applicant will need to submit a copy of their passport while paying cash.

What is the advantage of Certification?

After completing a course, you will receive a certificate that is in accordance to Yoga Alliance USA, a global organisation recognised by practitioners in several countries. This certificate allows you to create a yoga course and teach students about yogic philosophy, yogic anatomy, asanas, and meditation techniques.

Multi-style Yoga Teacher Certification

At the end of the 200 hour Yoga teacher training course. Teachers do an assessment to certify the students on the basis of their performances. The students who successfully complete the 200-hour Yoga teacher in Goa, India gets the Yoga alliance approved certificate when they meet the requirement to be a confident independent Yoga teacher. We have some reflection classes for one whole month also, where each student share what they have learned. At the end, of course, they give an hour-long yoga asana class.

The shared room has twin beds and is given to students of the same gender on a twin sharing basis. This room has an attached bathroom that the residents can use.

This room is bigger than the private room and faces the lakeside offering a wonderful view of the lake that is close to the yoga shala. It has an attached bathroom with a water heating facility.

Clean drinking water is available for all 24×7. We have a common area where the students can get together and hang out in the evening after classes. We provide black tea and coffee throughout the day and sipping a cuppa while sitting on the rooftop near the yoga hall is quite soothing. Wi-Fi connection is also available.

Meera Acharya

Meera is the founder and leads the training courses at Diya Yoga. She has been on a spiritual journey since her childhood thanks to her parents who were open to Meera learning about various types of philosophies and ideologies. She is a certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance (E- RYT) and has trained for years in several therapeutic, meditation, and yoga techniques like Past – life Regression, Color – light therapy, Chakra healing, Kundalini, Yoga Nidra, and Tantra Yoga. As an instructor, Meera combines her knowledge and experience in multiple yoga disciplines like Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, and Sivananda with meditation so that her students can reap maximum benefits from the course.

Disha Deshpande

A trained classical dancer with a passion for art, Disha is one of our yoga instructors who used to be a music journalist before dedicating her life to understanding and then teaching yoga and meditation. To commemorate her love for nature, she often inculcates trekking with yoga in her wellness retreats. Disha has been a practitioner of yoga since she was 4 and has healed several physical injuries she suffered as a young child through yoga. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) in Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga and Vinyasa flow from Yoga Alliance.
